back            Windmills Programme for Schools – Case Studies

Maria McHugh, a teacher at King Edward VI High School in Stafford with responsibility for careers education and guidance, found out about the Windmills programmes through colleagues.

Impressed by what she'd heard, Maria approached the Windmills team about collaborating on the scheme of work she was putting together for the school's Post-16 Careers Education programme.

The team was thrilled to be presented with this opportunity and invited Maria to Liverpool to talk through the recommended learning outcomes for students detailed in the Government's Post-16 Careers Education and Guidance framework.

The team put together a programme of exercises which could be incorporated into the students' careers sessions.
The teaching staff were then taken through the Windmills process themselves whilst being taught how to deliver the exercises to their students.
