Change always needs momentum
If you share our passion for what we do, we can tailor specific licensed opportunities which allow organisations to have their own trainers – or champions. Champions are coached to cascade our portfolio through their staff, from senior management to trainees or key groups of staff.
A Windmills licence allows you to custom-build solutions which match your development needs, building capacity internally which is sustainable, flexible and value for money. Trainers quickly develop the skills needed to become Windmills champions. Joining a growing community of like-minded individuals, they will gain access to new materials, ongoing continued professional development (CPD) and an opportunity to learn from others through direct interaction. Our community of licensees and champions continues to grow and covers a diverse cross-section of sectors including health, education, nuclear energy and local government.
The process evolves through...
1. Exploring
We need to understand a licensee's needs. So first we ask you some challenging questions. Starting with a broad overview, we drill down to the core of an issue – and only then do we start to formulate a specification that's right for your organisation. We won't say we can do something if we can't or if it doesn't fit with our values. But be assured that we will do everything we can to develop solutions that deliver real change.
2. Empowering
The passion, energy and confidence of a champion is critical to every project – and that's why we suggest self-election via taster sessions. All champions must commit to a rigorous train-the-trainer programme which will equip them with new skills to deliver bespoke programmes to your chosen client group. This capacity-building process often includes mentored co-delivery in the initial stages and ongoing review as experience builds.
3. Engaging
When everyone agrees that the time is right, champions take the lead in cascading programmes across targeted client groups through peer-supported delivery, one-to-one sessions and workshops. Ongoing coaching and mentoring support is always available, while thorough evaluation with champions and their client group – is built into the process.
4. Evolving
Formative evaluation is used to measure the overall impact of a project against its original objectives. This helps us to shape future content, delivery, and supporting frameworks required to sustain the programme. Champions benefit professionally and personally from sharing experiences with others in the Windmills community – experiences which feed into our R&D process and keep Windmills at the cutting edge of people development.
