Windmills is based on a partnership between The University of Liverpool and Dr Peter Hawkins.
Dr Peter Hawkins is a Fellow of the University of Liverpool and a world expert on career and life management. As a visiting lecturer at Harvard University and advisor to UK Government, he writes, speaks and consults on an international basis. Peter is the author of seven books, including the acclaimed Art of Building Windmills and enjoys working with a range of partners including VSO, KPMG, Unisef, European Commission, BBC, DfES and the Association of Graduate Recruiters. Passionate about working with people with special needs, Peter leads a charity for adults with learning difficulties and is an advocate for individuals with disabilities.
This Windmills partnership between Peter and the University was established in 1995 and it is based on mutual support and respect for one another's contributions within the fields of career/life management and personal development.
It has evolved and grown from extensive delivery of projects and programmes funded by a range of providers, including DfES, LSCs, NWDA and GONW, into an extensive range of Windmills training programmes and resources which to date have been accessed by more than 30,000 individuals across a vast range of both private and public sector organisations.
