Before I did STAR I wanted to be a hairdresser, but now I'm looking at alternatives. One possibility is teaching and I've taken Childcare as a GCSE now. I thought it'd be better if I opened up all the options. Our teacher always tells us not to put all our eggs in one basket!
After we'd finished STAR in school I went home and showed my mum and dad. My dad thought the Golden Ticket idea was brilliant and he's now going to help me to live that life. On my Golden Ticket I said that in the year 2016 I was going to live and work in America as a hairdresser. My dad said he's going to help me out with money and help me to get there.
STAR definitely gives you more choices and pathways to choose from.
