2014 Windmills Event – Why Not Influence What We Are Doing?
July 23rd, 2014 by Suzanne Sweeney
In the No Regrets week of our lives – Monday – up to 12 years old and particularly Tuesday ages 13-24, can be seen to be the building blocks for the rest of the week of our lives -http://www.windmillsonline.co.uk/what-we-do/7-days-of-the-week/
On Monday and Tuesday in our first 24 years of life we begin to make choices and decisions that will fundamentally shape our remaining week. These can relate to education, work, relationships, locations, health, well-being etc etc.
Many of you reading this article may have passed Monday and Tuesday but we know that many of you who are reading this have a particular passion, focus or interest in individuals on these days and recognise the challenges that they can sometimes face. The landscape of careers education, training, employment, social care agendas, youth support, health and well being is changing rapidly and increasingly we are meeting individuals and organisations who are passionate about supporting the development of a resilient generation to more ably manage these changes.
This is our theme for our annual Windmills event being held this year on Wednesday 12th November, at The Museum of Liverpool. How do we develop a resilient generation?
We would like to hear from those of you who share this passion and want to influence the planning of our event. What would you like to be included? What would help you in the fields in which you work? We want you at the event but who else would you like to invite to come along with you? What would make the day valuable to you?
