Doubling your Chances to Shape Your Thinking
September 3rd, 2015 by Suzanne Sweeney
As we return from the summer break and look forward to the autumn, we are all busy here at Windmills with the planning of our annual event. For the first time we have decided to host two events over the next six months which focus on two very different issues.
You may be interested to come along to them…..
Our first event “Shaping the Future” is focused on young people and the growing need to support individuals in a creative and meaningful way. We will be providing a forum to explore the lessons learned from a number of key projects, exploring how to take this learning forward by developing a creative and exciting framework to support individuals develop a new three R ’s of resilience, relationships and responsibility to enable them to take action and fulfil their potential. For those of you who joined us last year at the Museum this event will build on the themes that emerged from this day and develop these further.
This event is open to all those individuals with an interest in developing creative pathways and opportunities to improve young people’s aspirations and development opportunities whether that is in education, employment, training or community based activities. We are planning on this being a vibrant and stimulating environment to challenge our thinking and welcome those who wish to participate in this debate whether from a school, careers, local authority, employer, training, apprenticeship, community or charity background.
Our second event titled “Remember Me” is focused on personal development, providing an opportunity for you to remember and reacquaint yourself with your own priorities and aspirations utilising the Windmills portfolio.
Often being in a position to support others we can forget our own development so this event has been planned to allow you time out to focus on the most important person in the room – you.
Come along and have a bit of “Me Time”.
